A carriageway of the M4 was closed for several hours yesterday (Friday) after Thames Valley Police officers located the body of a man at the scene.
At just after 8am, officers were alerted to reports of a man on the ground under a bridge on the M4 near Junction 6.
The man’s death is being treated as unexplained, however, not suspicious.
Detective Sergeant Philip Wilson, based at Slough police station said: “Very sadly the body of a man was located underneath the bridge of junction 6.
“As a result of this incident, there was a closure of the junction put in place, and I am conscious that this caused disruption in the area.
“Work is ongoing to ascertain and notify next of kin.
“We are investigating on behalf of the coroner but do not believe there to be any suspicious circumstances.
“I would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding while we attended the scene.”
