No hard feelings were shown by Slough-born X Factor contestant Nate Simpson after being sent home by judge Nicole Scherzinger on Sunday.
The former Desborough College pupil, who made it to the judge’s houses round last weekend, performed a rendition of Ella Fitzgerald’s Summertime .
Former Pussycat Doll Nicole enlisted the help of DJ Calvin Harris to help her pick three out of the eight male contestants who sang at her French Riviera home.
While breaking the news to the 23-year-old music teacher, Nicole said: “You have an undeniable talent and when you sing it’s like church for me.
"But I have made my decision and I am sorry, I am not able to take you through.”
Nate, who works as a music teacher for Slough-based music charity SWIPE showed tears as Nicole broke the news but showed no hard feelings as he hugged the judge.
Matt Terry, Ryan Lawrie and Freddy Parker will go to the X Factor’s live show round next weekend.
