A car was ‘totally burnt out’ after crews of firefighters tackled a car blaze on the M4 in the early hours of this morning (December 3).
At 12.20am crews were called to the westbound carriageway of the M4 between Junction 8/9 for Maidenhead and Junction 10 for the Winnersh Interchange, where a Mercedes Estate car was on fire.
Crews from Maidenhead, Windsor, Wokingham Road, and Slough attended the scene.
Hose reels and breathing apparatus were used while tackling the blaze which left the car ‘severely damaged’.
National Highways traffic officers attended the scene, and one lane of the M4 was closed off while firefighters were working.
There were no injuries.
