The inquest has been opened into the death of an elderly woman from Maidenhead, who was reported missing for several weeks.
Police found the body of Beatrice May Stafford, known as Mary, on Sunday, November 27, near the Gullet footpath, between Ludlow Road and Norden Road.
The 83-year old was reported missing on Wednesday, November 9, and had last been seen in Cannon Lane, near Foundation Park, on Sunday, November 6.
An extensive search was carried out by the Thames Valley Police and search and rescue teams.
The inquest was opened by the coroner today (Friday) but no date has yet been set for the hearing.
