Days after the leader of the Royal Borough said he had to intervene to stop a ‘crazy’ parking ticket from being issued, new privatised parking wardens will be discussed at cabinet tonight (Thursday).
A trial of the new wardens has been ongoing since August.
On Saturday, Cllr Simon Dudley tweeted he ‘had to step in to get crazy parking ticket waived’ and would raise it at the meeting.
He said he was ‘not happy with what I’m seeing’ and said the car had been a couple of inches over the lines, which he branded as an ‘overzealous ticketing approach’.
Cllr Dudley urged anyone who believes they had received an unfair ticket to email him but did not explain how or what he could do to deal with the issue.
