Parking charges are set to be introduced at Braywick Park.
From Monday, October 31, drivers will have to fork out £5 to leave their vehicle for more than three hours.
The change, which the Royal Borough says is intended to ‘[free] up the spaces for people wishing to use the sports facilities’ will be in effect between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
The Braywick Park car park is currently free to use.
But the council claims ‘many of the spaces are taken up by people using the car park as all-day commuter parking’.
Cllr Carwyn Cox (Con, Hurley and Walthams), cabinet member for parking and environmental services, said: “This should free up more parking spaces for anyone wanting to use the wide range of sports facilities at Braywick.”
Signs advertising the new charges are due to be installed this week, as well as pay and display machines.
