This year’s Dyslexia Awareness Week coincides with the 10th anniversary of the Adult Dyslexia Centre being open in Denmark Street.

The centre, which supports adults from across the Thames Valley with dyslexia, will be hosting an open evening on Tuesday, October 4.

Visitors are welcome to speak to the trustees, tutors and existing members about the support the centre has provided over the last decade.

A range of activities and displays will be on offer; email info@adc.org.uk if you want to attend.

To end the Dyslexia Awareness Week, there will be an Auction of Skills and Promises on Friday, October 7 at the Stripes Bar in Maidenhead United Football Club, York Road.

As well as the auction, there will be a raffle, entertainment and a light supper.

Tickets are £7 per person. Email debbie@adc.org.uk to book tickets.

This Sunday, a group of members from the centre will be taking part in the Boundary Walk to raise funds.
