A lack of players has forced Marlow Park Cricket Club to withdraw its 1st team from Thames Valley League Division 3B next season.
Park, who were formed in 1892 and play at their home matches at the riverside Higginson Park in Marlow, were relegated from Division 2A by just five points at the end of last season.
A statement from the league read: "Marlow Park 1st XI has now withdrawn from this year’s Division 3B competition after it became clear that most of last season’s 1st XI would not be available this season.
"Marlow Park will field a single XI in the Division 8B competition this season.
"With only one XI in the competition, Marlow Park are also now reduced with immediate effect to Associate Membership with no voting rights at general meetings."
The season starts on Saturday, May 6, when Marlow Park's only team will host Boyne Hill 4ths.
