Fundraisers from Phoenix Gym wound back the clocks on Bank Holiday Monday as they held their Route 66 day.
Talented gymnasts from the club’s performance squad chose the retro theme and went all out to transform the site at Water Oakley Farm.
An American diner and milkshake bar helped set the scene while a host of classic cars including a Ford Thunderbird and Chevrolet were also on display.
The sound of The Beatles rang out as the club’s gymnasium was converted into the iconic Cavern Club for the day.
Tribute act The R ‘n’ Beatles wowed the crowds with classic covers of Britain’s heralded rock band.
The club organised the event in a bid to help raise the £1.2 million that is needed to fund its new purpose-built gym in greenbelt land north of Longlea Nursing Home in Fifield.
Lynn Bushell, centre director, added: “We’re hoping to move into the new site by this time next year.”
