More than £400 was raised at a charity quiz for Alexander Devine on Monday.

Teams gathered at The Belgian Arms in Holyport Street to share their knowledge, with hopes of being crowned winner.

The quiz was hosted by David Eversham and tested the teams on their music, sports and showbiz knowledge.

Roz Parkinson, marketing manager at the pub said: “The quiz went beautifully, everybody had a good time.

“It’s really nice because some quizzes can be too sports orientated, but David did a mix of questions.

“They don’t charge for their time and put it all together.”

The winning team of the night was The Murray Minters which included Hugh Hornby, David Howells, John O’Hara, Gill Hudson and Sebastian Stanford-Smith.

There was a raffle on the night which raised £230.
