A family will be taking part in an extreme triathlon to raise money for the Fight for George Campaign.
Nicola Humphries will be taking part in an eight-hour swim, her cousin Georgina Reynolds will be cycling from Gravesend in Kent to Maidenhead and her uncle Anthony Reynolds will be taking part in a marathon later this year.
The cycling team, which includes Georgina, her fiancée Steve Dalley, their half sister Tamara Cabrera, her partner Metin Terlemez and friend Darren Yearly will be cycling the distance this Sunday.
Nicola, who works with Anthony at the fruit and vegetable market in the high street, will be doing her marathon swim at David Lloyd Leisure Centre on Tuesday, July 26 and she is inviting everyone to come down and support her on the day.
She said: “Louise (George’s mum) is one of our customers and we wanted to get involved, and join the whole community helping him.
“We will also have swab stations at David Lloyd on the day so people can become donors.”
Anthony will be running a marathon in Bournemouth with town manager Steph James in October.
The group will also be selling strawberries and cream in the High Stree this weekend to raise money for the campaign.
