Fire crews from across Berkshire and Buckinghamshire tackled a blaze involving two boats at Bourne End Marina yesterday morning (Tuesday).
A spokesperson for South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) said there were three patients in total - one with serious burns and another two with minor burns.
Following initial treatment at the scene from the SCAS team, all three were taken to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford for further treatment, with the 'most seriously injured patient in a potentially life-threatening condition'.
SCAS sent three ambulances, a rapid response vehicle and the Thames Valley Air Ambulance critical care response vehicle to the scene of the incident.
A total of eight appliances and fire crews were sent to the marina in Wharf Lane, along with two officers all attended at the height of the fire.
Both of the boats were on fire during the incident.
Appliances and crews from High Wycombe, Maidenhead, Slough, Beaconsfield, Langley and Amersham were at the scene.
Firefighters used four sets of breathing apparatus, two hose reels and an environmental kit.
