Twyford open league season with defeat to Maids

Twyford travelled to Maidenhead to play their first league fixture of the season.
Resplendent in their new league shirts, Twyford went down by 85 shots to 75.
Barry Carter had a resounding win on his rink and Peter Chase ran his opponent close but it was a disappointing start to the season for Twyford.
- In the first game of the season, Twford BC were away to Tilehurst who are celebrating their 75th anniversary.
In a five rink mixed triples match, the home team won overall by 27 shots. Michael Cox and Barry Carter were the only two winning skips.
- Twyford welcomed Burghfield to the village in the first home game of the season.
It was a close encounter with Twyford winning the match by four shots (80-76).
Mike Self was the star man along with his rink who pulled Twyford to victory by a massive 22 shots win.
