Repeat success for Desbororugh Bowls Club in the Denny Cup
Desborough played West Berks at this stage in the Denny Cup last year and the result this time was just the same as they eased to a 36-shot victory (75-39).
After a tight start, Desborough stepped on the accelerator
Although Simon Jones’ rink went down narrowly, the other rinks did the business with the stars being Tim Eales, David Ross, Richard Reid and Alan Price, winning by 24 shots (30-6).
Harder challenges are sure to come, starting with Whiteknights in the third round on Saturday, November 29.

The home side were in control from the start and despite a late surge from the visitors, Desborough ended up winning on four of the six rinks.

But there was no doubting who took top rink honours as Betty West, Jim Roll, Morag Goodchild and Colin Jones won by a fantastic 23 shots (31-8).
