Rebels boss eyes Pritchard swoop

Harry Pritchard
Harry Pritchard is wanted by Slough.

Slough Town FC boss Steve Bateman is hoping to add exciting young midfielder Harry Pritchard to his title chasing squad.

Bateman is a long time admirer of Pritchard and was interested in signing him just two months ago while he was still at Flackwell Heath.

But the left winger ended up going to rivals Burnham where he has produced some superb performances in the handful of games he has played for the Blues.

One of those was against Slough just a fortnight ago when he was a constant threat and laid on his side’s goal with a wonderful first time cross.

His display made such a mark on Bateman that the Rebels boss has now lodged a seven-day approach for his services.

He said:“We’ve asked a question and we’ll see when we’re able to speak to him what his response is.

“I thought he did well against us, and he will offer us something different.

“I’m not looking to make changes for changes sake but if I see something I think will add to what we’ve got, I will do it.

“Harry fits the bill as an exciting young wide player.”

Bateman added:“He ticks all the boxes with the way we play.

“We like to go wide and get balls in the box and he will really add to that.

“He’s an exciting player who bombs up and down the wing. He would be a great addition to what we’re trying to build here.

“We’ve asked the question and now we’ll have to wait and see what happens.”
