Pook leaves York Road
Maidenhead United FC midfielder Michael Pook has signed for Forest Green Rovers.
Magpies boss Johnson Hippolyte always expected to lose Pook before the end of January but his departure to the Blue Square Premier outfit will still come as a blow.
The playmaker has played a big part in Maidenhead's improvement since his arrival in December and he follows Jordan Clement and Max Worsfold out of York Road after the loan duo both returned to Aldershot last week.
* With no game this weekend, United had a friendly last night against Aldershot Town Reserves.
The Magpies went in front through Leigh Henry's goal but Town hit back to seal a 4-1 win at York Road.
Hippolyte said: "It was worth it, it gave the lads a bit of a blow out.
"We took the lead but then conceded right on half-time.
"In the second half we made several changes, brought on a few trialists and in the end they ended up scoring three.
"But it served a purpose. It was a decent run out."
