It was a busy weekend for Windsor Slough Eton & Hounslow AC (WSEH) with athletes in action in various competitions across the country as well as the club’s own winter indoor meeting at TVAC.

In the county cross country championships, WSEH emerged with four county champions, three team victories and a host of other medals.

The club’s most successful foray was in the Surrey event at Dorking where Jack Rowe won the u17 men’s race and the local club produced team wins in the u15 girls, u15 boys and u20 men.

The u15 boys title was secured after second and third places by Gus Cockle and George Gathercole respectively, backed up by Josh Bowden in ninth and Alex Cockwill in 31st.

It was Josie Savill that led the u15 girls team to victory with her second place and supported by Emily Reeves (6th), Kathryn Ditton (18th) and Caitlin Critchley (19th).

With just three to score in the u20 men’s event, Zak Curran secured the team prize with his sixth place followed by Nathan Ditton (7th) and Jonny Dry (10th).

There were silver medals for the u13 girls, with Evie Higton in eighth, Tara de Klerk 10th, Eugenie Cockle 15th and Sam Bonny 16th.

This feat was repeated in the u17 men’s race where Jack Rowe’s individual win paved the way for the silver team medals for Charlie Critchley (9th), Rob Hall (18th) and Greg Baynham (26th).
