Chloe lands TV role
Last week the Advertiser reported how 10-year-old singing sensation Chloe Howells had recorded and sold her own Christmas CD to help raise funds for her school, Holyport Primary.
Now the producer who helped her make that CD has secured her a leading role in a children"s show for American television, which begins filming in July next year.
Danny De Matos has written songs for artists and groups such as Republica, Ricky Martin and Belinda Carlisle and it was Mr De Matos who alerted producers of the new television show to Chloe"s talents.
Now, after signing contracts and meeting her co-stars on Sunday, Chloe is due to begin filming in London next year.
The show, entitled The Trollmates, is described as a Monkees-style music-based TV series and tells the story of an American music producer who discovers three singing trolls in Scotland before taking them to London to record.
