Groups to get cash boost by Prince Philip Trust Fund

More than 20 organisations and individuals will soon receive a cash boost thanks to the Prince Philip Trust Fund for the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.
Grants awarded range from £500 for a new cooker for Holyport Youth Club to £2,600 for an environmental trip to Wales for young people from Look Ahead Housing and Care at Frogmore Court.
Other recipients will include Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust and disabled sports club Wamdsad in Braywick Road.
All were chosen at a meeting chaired by The Duke of Edinburgh at Eton College on Monday, April 18.
Founded in 1977, the trust has received contributions from numerous private individuals, organisations and companies.
Trustees meet twice a year, in the spring and autumn, to consider applications for financial support for initiatives, projects and expeditions which meet the Trust's criteria.
