More than 1,000 litres of heating oil was stolen from a property in Burchetts Green. Thieves unscrewed the pipe at the bottom of the tank and trained 1,200 litres of liquid from the applicance in in Burchetts Green Lane. A police spokesman said: "Most tanks will be refilled after the winter around now. Can everyone secure them as best they can and check them regularly."

Midsomer Murders

Every couple of years Lynn Penfold discovers another neighbour has been run through with a pitchfork or blasted with a shotgun. The grisly homicides happen just yards from her idyllic cottage in Littlewick Green and can mean only one thing - the cast and crew of Midsomer Murders is back.
