Volunteers needed at Cliveden

Mar28_ClivedenMazeVolunteer gardeners and greeters are needed for the coming year at Cliveden.

The National Trust site is holding open mornings on Friday, February 3 and Saturday, February 4 for those interested in volunteering at the estate in Taplow.

Positions available include garden guides, meeters and greeters, house guides and gardeners.

More than 150 people help preserve Cliveden's garden and woodlands and last year volunteers gave 13,763 hours of their time - the equivalent of seven extra full-time members of staff.

Cliveden's general manager John Waxman said: "We have a great team of volunteers at Cliveden and everyone plays an important part in ensuring visitors enjoy their day here.

"We would love to hear from anyone who would like to get involved."

Full training is provided so no experience is necessary.

The open mornings take place between 11am-2pm.

Call 01628 605069 or email richard.skilbeck@nationaltrust.org.uk for details.
