South Bucks tops assault detection rates
More low-level assaults are detected in South Bucks than any other area in the Thames Valley.
There were 469 minor violent crimes reported in South Bucks between April last year and Friday and 57 per cent of these have been detected, the highest rate recorded by Thames Valley Police.
During the same period last year there were 638 incidents of low-level violence against people, 26 per cent more than this year.
South Bucks Chief Inspector Kate Ford said: "These figures show that if you're a victim of that type of offence we're more likely than not to detect it."
There were 511 thefts from vehicles compared to 524 last year, while thefts of vehicles were down from 109 to 88.
Burglaries decreased from 374 to 346 and robberies from 39 to 37.
