Olympic athletes cook for Sport Relief
Athletes going for gold at this summer's Olympics will be vying for honours of a different kind as they take to the kitchen for a unique fundraiser.
Stars of the GB rowing and kayaking teams will test their culinary skills in the kitchens of Hedsor House in Taplow at an evening in aid of Sport Relief.
Hedsor's Kitchen, taking place on Saturday, February 18, will feature teams captained by women's eight rower Natasha Page and kayaker Andrew Daniels.
Natasha, who dreamed up the event, said selecting team members had been tough. "Everyone wanted to get involved, but to qualify they had to get one of the team to endorse their normal cooking," she said.
Memorabilia from sporting legends will be auctioned and there will be an opportunity to have signed photos taken with the athletes.
Hamish Shephard, whose family owns Hedsor House, said: "We are absolutely delighted to be supporting Sport Relief and to be getting behind Britain's Olympic athletes."
Tickets cost £50 including wine, soft drinks and champagne, with profits being split equally between Sport Relief and participating athletes.
