Danesfield House chef Adam on BBC's Great British Menu
Danesfield House Hotel executive chef Adam Simmonds will be making his debut on BBC2's Great British Menu tonight.
Adam Simmonds, whose self-titled restaurant at the Henley Road hotel in Marlow has one Michelin star, will be representing London and the South-east against the formidable Tom Aikens and head chef of The Pass in Horsham, Matt Gillan. The trio will be mentored by former Great British Menu winner Richard Corrigan.
The food will be judged by the regular panel of Matthew Fort, Oliver Peyton and Prue Leith.
The seven regional winners of the competition will compete in the final for a chance to cook at the Great British Menu Comic Relief Banquet at the Royal Albert Hall later this year.
Adam is following in the footsteps of Marlow chef Tom Kerridge of the Hand and Flowers, who wowed judges with his winning main-course dish in both the 2010 and 2011 series of the programme.
Find out how Adam does tonight on BBC2 at 7.30pm. Follow the show daily this week at the same time.
