Train station refurbishment unveiled
A £1m refurbishment of Maidenhead train station is being unveiled this morning.
Maidenhead MP Theresa May will cut the ribbon at a station ceremony to celebrate the nine-month project.
The transformation has included a 150-metre extension to platform one, new ticket machines, toilets, vending machines, better disabled parking, and improvements to the subways for platform access.
Richard Rowland, First Great Western regional manager said: "This ambitious project brings better performance for our customers during times of disruption and a much-improved environment for all our customers who use Maidenhead station."
