Robbers strike at Cookham garage
Three men burst into a petrol station in Cookham yesterday and assaulted a man before escaping with hundreds of pounds.
Barnside Motors was targeted at 5.25pm when the robbers demanded money from the till and hit the cashier in his face in the High Street petrol station.
Det Con Alex Marshall, from Maidenhead CID, said: "The victim suffered a cut to the bridge of his nose in the incident and has been left shaken by what happened.
"We believe that the men sped off in a dark coloured car which travelled towards the Whyteladyes Lane area.
"I am keen to speak to anyone who has any information about this incident that could help with our investigation or anyone who witnessed people in the car acting suspiciously in the area either before or immediately after the robbery."
It is believed that three Asian men were involved in the incident.
One is in his mid 20s, around 5ft 7ins, and slim and he was wearing a black ski mask and a black hooded jacket with the hood up. The second man is also in his mid 20s but is smaller and wearing a white waterproof jacket with the hood up. There is no description of the third man.
