Cookham choir sings with Blake

A group of Cookham singers experienced the thrill of a lifetime when they sang on stage with Brit-award winning Blake.

The Cantorum Choir were picked as part of an appeal by the vocal group for a local choir to join them on the Love Lifts Us Up tour on Sunday, January 29.

In front of an audience of more than 250 at the Wilde Theatre in Bracknell, Cantorum joined the foursome on stage to sing Jerusalem, Nessun Dorma, Weep o mine Eyes, Hallelujah and other popular songs.

The group also performed songs from their three albums and their new release due out this year.

The choir's musical director Elizabeth Toye (pictured with Blake) said: "It was truly a wonderful evening for everybody."

The choir is preparing for its spring concert and will perform the Messiah at Holy Trinity Church, Cookham, in March.
