Green-fingered villagers enjoy plant sale

A plant sale was held at the Village Hall on Sunday to raise money for 'Bray in Bloom'.

The Bray Enhancement Committee (BEC) organised the event which attracted about 60 people.

On sale were a variety of items including vegetables and bedding plants as well as flowers in purples, burgundies, pinks and whites.

This was to reflect the colour scheme of the flowers to be planted in the village's conservation area when Bray competes in the annual horticultural competition.

BEC member Chris Graham said the sale had gone very well and was pleased they had managed to beat last year's total and raise £325.

The money will be used to fund this year's 'Bray in Bloom' efforts.

A demonstration was also given by Braywick Heath Nurseries who provided tips on how to prepare a hanging basket.
