Come along to mental health and wellbeing workshop
Mental health and wellbeing issues will be discussed at a public workshop at the council’s offices on Monday at 6.30pm.
The borough’s health and scrutiny committee aims to identify how easy it is for people aged over 16 to access vital mental health services.
The workshop will give people a chance to register their concerns.
Chair of the task and finish group Cllr Charlotte Haitham-Taylor said: “What may surprise many people is that one in four people in the UK suffers from some kind of mental health problem, at some point in their life.
"Sadly, discussion of mental health is still considered, by some people, as something of a taboo subject.”
She said the borough council would welcome the views of anyone who had tried to access the services within the last two years.
Places are limited. To register call 01189 746013.
