Best acoustic act award winners come to Norden Farm
The foot-stomping and eclectic sounds of Abbe Martin and Hannah Wood continue the recent trend of the popular revival of folk music.
The duo have been performing together for six years, building a solid fan base in the UK, featuring on BBC Radio 6 music and being crowned best acoustic act at the South West Music Awards.
Influenced by artists including Laura Marling, Mumford & Sons and Ben Howard, the pair believes their most recent album, A Long Way to Fall, captures the energy and chemistry of their live performances.
Their next EP, recorded at Monnow Valley Studios, will be released in June as they continue to write and perform songs ranging from fast-paced foot stompers to melancholy melodies.
Sound of the Sirens will be at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts on Saturday, January 31. Call the box office on 01628 788997.
