Award-winning soloists to present their new duo at Nettlebed Folk Club

Presenting  their new duo at the folk club will be award-winning solo artists Jackie Oates and Megan Henwood.

Jackie, a singer and fiddle player originally from Staffordshire but now living in Wallingford, has won two BBC Folk Awards including the Horizon Award.

Meanwhile Megan came to the attention of the wider world in 2011 following the release of her debut album 'Making Waves'.

She has since played live across the UK and is a regular performer at all the bigger UK music festivals, including ; Glastonbury, Cambridge, Larmer Tree, Wilderness and Secret Garden Party.

Megan in a singer, songwriter, guitarist and winner of the BBC Young Folk Award.

Together they will be performing a mixture of new traditional and contemporary material as well as harmony vocal versions of some of their existing solo work.

They will be accompanied by multi-instrumentalist Pete Thomas.

Jackie Oates and Megan Henwood are at Nettlebed Village Club on Monday, December 1.
